Description

Designed to help facilitate making contact with property owners, multiple sources are used to identify the latest information about the current owner of each property.

Usage

Direct Marketing: Accurate identification of a property owner is essential to buying, selling, financing, building, and insuring properties. Communication directly with property owners can often form an essential element of an advertising campaign for vendors looking to market products and services to the owners of properties.

Property Ownership Analytics: It can also be used as the basis for aggregating multiple properties owned by a single person or legal entity.

Sourcing

The two primary sources of ownership data are the Tax Assessor and Recorder offices of each jurisdiction such as counties. The Tax Assessor maintains this information so they can mail tax bills regularly. The Recorder office acts as the official recorder of the owners of a property along with when and how a change of ownership took place.

Tables/Views

The following tables can be used to access Address information. When delivering solutions to customers, Some or all of the address information found in these tables may be consolidated into one or more views.

Dimension Tables

The following dimension tables are relevant to the Current Owner, providing lookups for various codes contained in the REOwnership table.

DimOwnerEtal: Identifies situations in which more than four individuals or legal entities own a property

DimOwnerRelationship: Known relationships that exist between multiple property owners (e.g. Husband and Wife, Brother and Sister, Corporate Trust)

DimOwnerType: Identifies various classifications of individuals or legal entities owning a property (e.g. Individual, Company, Government)

Matching Data

ATTOM ID

There is only one Current Owner record for each property. The current Owner can be matched to other Property data such as Addresses or Property Characteristics based upon the ATTOM ID that is assigned to each Current Owner record.
