How Far Out Are Auction Dates?

The public foreclosure data collected by ATTOM includes Notice of Sale (NOS) and Notice of Trustee Sale (NTS) documents. These typically provide information about properties to be sold by auction such as the auction date, time, and location. The process and timeline vary from county to county as to where and how these auctions are conducted. This includes how far in advance auctions get scheduled. It is not unusual for auction dates to be changed. For that reason, ATTOM is prudent about how it collects details about upcoming auctions. In counties in which auction dates are initially proposed well ahead (60+ days) but have a high probability of being changed one or more times before the auction takes place, we may defer collecting the details until we get closer to the auction date. In most counties, we are collecting auction dates in the next 30 days. We will collect auction dates in advance of 30 days in counties where there is a low probability of them changing.
