Direct Integration
Direct Integration
At some point in the process of using ATTOM Cloud Data, it is likely you will need to access the data from either a third party or your own software. This can be done by referring to the information provided by ATTOM Cloud under Direct Integration.
Accessing Direct Integration
- An option for Direct Integration should appear on the ATTOM Cloud home page under Explore
Direct Integration Screen
The Direct Integration screen should provide all the information needed to access ATTOM Cloud from external sources that support access to Azure SQL Managed Instances (SQL Server) or ODBC.
The connection information needed will vary from product to product. The information provided should handle all commonly encountered situations.
- Connection - by default, the information for the currently connected database is used. If you have access to multiple databases, select the connection that corresponds to the database to which you wish to connect
- Driver - ATTOM Cloud will appear as a SQL Server database for most external software
- Host/Server/IP Address – the address used to connect to the ATTOM Cloud server.
- Port - use the default (1433) or leave blank
- Username – this is based upon the e-mail address used to register for ATTOM Cloud. To comply with SQL server naming standards, special characters have been replaced with underscores. It is important to only use the Username displayed and NOT your e-mail address.
- Password – use the password currently being used for your ATTOM Cloud account. If you change or reset your password, remember to change the connection details in ALL the external software being used to access ATTOM Cloud Data.
- Authentication Type - use SQL Server Login and provide the USername/Password as detailed above
- Database Name or Initial Database - The default database for this server should be the database name provided. Either leave this blank or use the database name provided
- SSL – not required
- Read-Only Application Intent - In some cases, there may be an advantage gained by indicating this data source is read-only.
Whitelist IPs
To protect the data stored in ATTOM Cloud, we only allow access to our ATTOM Cloud servers from certain pre-defined IP addresses.
After a purchase of ATTOM Cloud has been made, your company can provide a list of known IP addresses used by your company to be added to our firewall. This allows devices connected to those IP addresses access to ATTOM Cloud. In addition, we allow each ATTOM Cloud account to nominate one additional IP address to handle situations in which the employee is working from a different office, home, or while traveling. If you are encountering difficulties accessing ATTOM Cloud, it is a good idea to check and make sure your current IP address has been whitelisted in our firewall.
