Changing Credentials for Excel

By default, when you connect to an ATTOM Cloud database for the first time Excel stores the credentials used. If you load additional data into the same or another Excel workbook, Excel will use the same credentials already stored for the database. This is very convenient when you are pulling lots of data from ATTOM Cloud into Excel. The downside is that if your credentials change for any reason you need to know how to make a change.

To do this we need to select Data... Get Data... Data Source Settings

Excel will then display a list of databases that you have connected from Excel. Select each database that needs its credentials changed and click on "Edit Permissions".

The next screen has a wide range of options for controlling the use and storage of the credentials. If all we want to do is change the username and/or password then we select "Edit".

We can now change the username and password accordingly.

Note: At this time Database authentication is required and must be selected.
