Inviting Others

Introduction

By default, when you register for an ATTOM Cloud account it is assumed you are somebody new to ATTOM and new to ATTOM Cloud and that you are potentially evaluating the cloud delivery of property data as part of one or more projects your company has. But there are situations in which this is not the case. It may be that your company has already evaluated ATTOM Cloud and made a purchase and the purpose of your registration is so that you can make use of the purchased data yourself.

To help us understand the need to bypass the evaluation and purchase phase in using ATTOM Cloud we have added the ability of an existing ATTOM Cloud customer to invite others to register for ATTOM Cloud in a way in which they are automatically connected to an existing customer agreement.

1. Get the Invitation Link

  • Once you have purchased ATTOM Cloud or an ATTOM CLoud product such as Property Reports, you can access the invitation link via your user profile

  • From the Profile page click on the button "Get Link". This will copy a special invitation URL onto your clipboard

2. Send Invitation Link

  • Create a new e-mail using your preferred e-mail client
  • Address the e-mail to the employees you wish to invite to register
  • To the e-mail message add a link/button containing the URL on the clipboard

  • Send the message

Key Differences

There are some key differences when a new ATTOM Cloud account is registered using the invitation link: -

  1. The new ATTOM Cloud account is automatically linked to the company of the person who generated the invitation URL giving them access to all the company's ATTOM Cloud subscriptions.
  2. There is no need to enter the company name as part of the registration process. It cannot be changed during registration.
  3. When the ATTOM Cloud is generated it is not considered to be a new lead. As a result, the communication program for new leads is not sent to that e-mail address.
  4. A new trial API token is not created for the account. Because there is no trial token, the ATTOM Cloud account will no longer receive an e-mail notification after 30 days that the trial API token has expired.
